Every baby is a blessing
Today began early when a call from the hospital woke us up before dawn. Our daughter Layla was in labor and the baby was coming soon. We tumbled out of bed to dress for the trip to Tampa. Ten minutes later, the happy Dad called to say that Christian Gabriel Rivera had arrived–pink, beautiful and healthy. Mom, Dad, big brother JJ, who is all of 13 months old, and new little brother are all doing fine. The baby was born at a Catholic hospital with a chapel where we could offer prayers of gratitude after the arrival of our new grandson. Our sweet little grandsons were both gifts from God who are loved and cherished by a big loving family. May all babies created in God’s image be as cherished as our two. Every baby is a blessing and a miracle. None of them are expendable or unwanted in God’s eyes.
