About Maggie Hall
I am a writer/editor/PR professional whose top achievement is having had four children ranging in age from 23 to 13 with Kevin Hall, my husband since 1984. Our life now includes two beautiful grandsons and a granddaughter who are a joy to everyone. In addition to working as a freelance writer, I also do communications and public relations for a not-for-profit research organization in Florida.
We are Roman Catholics who have been particularly influenced by Dorothy Day’s Catholic Worker movement, the gentle teachings of St. Francis of Assisi and the writings of Thomas Merton. Despite my Anglo-sounding name, I was born in Cuba and spent the first nine years of my life there with my close-knit Catholic family.
Kevin and I are cradle Catholics who also count ourselves as converts. We both experienced a call to return to our roots after years of being seekers. (As the novelist Walker Percy once replied when a critic asked him why he was a Catholic, “What else is there?”)
